The Wells FFA chapter is located in Wells, Texas, a small town in East Texas near Nacogdoches and Lufkin. The chapter currently has approximately 30 active members, out of a high school with an enrollment of about 80 students.
Wells, TX, has a population of a little under 800. It began as a stop along the railway over a century ago. As time progressed, the population grew, and soon there were churches, eating establishments, a doctor's office, and even a Chevrolet dealership at one time- not to mention a school. If you were to drive through Wells today, some of these points of interest wouldn't exist; however, our town is still a wonderful place to visit and dwell in. If you're ever in the area, drop by and "sit a spell" with us.
As previously stated, the Wells FFA chapter is small compared to many other chapters within the state; however, the chapter is quite accomplished despite its size. There have been FFA members who have received the Lone Star Degree and those who have competed in state level CDE's (Career Developing Events).
In spite of its small size, the Wells FFA chapter is active in its members' lives and strives to make a difference in the community.
